Das Wireshark Development Team hat den nic.at Patch zum Decodieren von DHCPv4 coordinate-based Location angenommen. Ab SVN Revision 26381 kann Wireshark nun die DHCP Option 123 laut RFC 3825 anzeigen und dekodieren.
Die Entwicklungsversion von Wireshark kann unter http://www.wireshark.org/download/automated/ bezogen werden. Sobald eine neue stabile Version von Wireshark veröffentlicht wird, ist der Patch automatisch enthalten.
Somit kann Wireshark nun die DHCPv4 Optionen 99 und 123 für die Standortkonfiguration (civic und coordinate-based) vollständig dekodieren.
